Fabriform®Products for erosion control and slope protection.Fabriform® is the original fabric formed concrete system. Fabric formed concrete is the result of pumping a highly fluid concrete mix into specially woven fabric "envelopes". This method of erosion control allows for fast, economical construction of revetments, landfill containment systems, holding ponds, bridge scour repair, bridge or dock piling reinforcement and countless other applications. The Fabriform Process utilizes a double layered nylon fabric specially woven for optimum strength, stability, adhesion, and filtering characteristics. A highly fluid fine aggregate concrete (sand/cement grout) is pumped into this fabric envelope after is has been placed on the slope to be protected. Fabric formed revetments can be cast above or below water. Construction Techniques manufactures Fabriform with 100% multifilament high-tenacity nylon fibers for stability and resistance to the strong alkalis present in concrete and are woven such that at least 50% by weight consists of textured fibers for optimum filtering characteristics and adhesion to the concrete.
